Eleven members of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville will travel to Jamaica July 18-24 for a week of ministry with Praying Pelican Missions. The group will partner with Westgate Hills Baptist Church to support the Montego Bay suburb, encourage the church, and build relationships with the local people. Covenant group leader is Jamie Lambert who will lead the team and local members in continuing construction on a brand new building. Ultimately, the goal is to support Westgate Hills and create a long-term partnership with the Westgate Hills church leadership and congregation. Founded in 2003, Praying Pelican Missions is a short-term mission organization focused on partnering North American churches and para-church organizations with churches in Belize, Jamaica and Mexico. It expects to host more than 2,500 short-term missions this summer. For more info, visit the website, www.prayingpelicanmissions. org. login to post comments |
