Family and Friends weekend planned
The Branches Community Church in Fayetteville will have its annual Family and Friends weekend June 13 and 14, beginning with a Family and Friends Fun Night Open House Saturday, June 13, from 6-8 p.m. The Family and Friends worship service will be held from 10 a.m. until noon Sunday, June 14. The church is at 282 Ga. Hwy. 314, Suite B., Fayetteville.

Brooks UMC opens thrift shop
Saturday, June 13, is the grand opening of the “Second Chance Thrift Shop” in Brooks. This ministry of Brooks UMC will fund missions, and children and youth ministries. It will also give items that may normally be discarded a second chance to be useful. The shop will be open Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. The shop is just past the Brooks Post office at 151 McIntosh Rd. in Brooks. Flat Creek Baptist VBS starts June 15
Flat Creek Baptist Church will have Boomerang Express VBS June 15-19 from 9 a.m. - noon for children ages 4 and up. There is no charge for VBS. The church also offers music camp for children in grades 1-5 after VBS from noon - 4 p.m. The cost is $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child. New Hope VBS starts Monday
New Hope Baptist Church will offer VBS at both campuses with the theme, “Boomerang Express: It all comes back to Jesus.” VBS will be held June 15-18 from 9 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. at the North Campus and from 6:15-8:45 p.m. at the South Campus. Woolsey Baptist sets VBS for June 15
Woolsey Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 15-19 from 9 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. for children ages 4 years through the completion of sixth grade. Prince of Peace VBS starts June 15
All kids who have completed kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to join the Discovery Canyon Vacation Bible School at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Monday-Friday, June 15-19 from 9 a.m.- noon. Program celebration is on Sunday, June 21 during the 9:30 a.m. service. All kids and youth who pre-register will receive a free theme music CD as well as other canyon-themed items throughout the week. VBS T-shirts are now on sale for $8. Providence UMC VBS
“Crocodile Dock: Where fearless kids shine God’s light” will be offered at Providence United Methodist Church June 15-19 from 9 a.m.-noon for children 4 years through rising fifth grade. Open Door in Senoia plans VBS
Open Door Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 15-19 from 6-8:30 p.m. with the theme, “Passport to the Promised Land.” Children ages 2 through 12 are eligible to participate. FFBC will host ladies catered luncheon
Fayetteville women are invited to a “Summer Breeze,” free catered meal during the lunch hour Tuesday, June 16, from noon until 1 p.m. in the Fayetteville First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Inman UMC seeking money for project
