Mr. and Mrs. David Emerson of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Britni Nicole Emerson, to Nathaniel Ralph Overall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Overall of Peachtree City.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ann Emerson and the late William Emerson of Fayetteville, and Mary Ellen McDuffie and the late Joseph McDuffie of Warm Springs. She is a 2004 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2008 graduate of Georgia College and State University with a bachelor of science degree in health education. She is currently employed as an exercise specialist at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Ingborg Overall and the late Ralph Overall of Columbus, Ga., and Billie Lewis of Columbus and the late Norman Smith of California. He is a 2004 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and will graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology in August, 2009, with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He plans to pursue a mechanical engineering career.

The wedding is planned for Sunday Dec. 13, 2009, on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in Cape Canaveral, Florida, with the reception following the ceremony.
