Peggy Payne Chamberlin, Peachtree City, died May 25, 2009. She was born in Memphis, Tenn. and raised in Olive Branch, Miss. She was the oldest of three children of Byron and Marjorie McReyolds Payne. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready for any adventure. She was a loving, compassionate and generous person.

Services were at Saint Andrews in-the-Pines Episcopal Church, Peachtree City. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, James "Jim" Chamberlin, Peachtree City; a son, Jim and Peggy Shaw Chamberlin Jr., St. Simons Island; a daughter, Mary Chamberlin, Smyrna; a grandson, Forrest Chamberlin, Ft. Collins, Colo.; brothers, Lawrence and Betty Payne, and James and Mary Ann Payne; and a sister-in-law, Betty Chamberlin. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society. Cremation Society of the South t Eagles Landing was in charge.
