COS changes schedule, announces delegates, plans fashion show June 6Tue, 06/02/2009 - 2:37pm

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City has announced changes in the worship schedule for June and July. GraceFlock contemporary worship in the Fellowship Hall will take place at 9:45 a.m., and the Sunday evening service will be on vacation until August 2. The other three services in the Sanctuary (Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 8:30 and 11 a.m.) remain unchanged. The Southeastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America meets June 5-7 in Atlanta. Voting members from Christ Our Shepherd will be Larry Lake, Jim Moore, Tina Patrick, Mechthild Vogt, and Pastor Miriam Beecher. Mary Kay Moore serves as a member of Synod Council, which includes representatives from Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. Frank Klein, Visitation Pastor at Christ Our Shepherd, will be honored for his 65 years of service in ordained ministry. The Women’s Activities Committee will sponsor a luncheon and fashion show, “Thrift Shop Best,” at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at the church. On Sunday, June 7, the church will bless middle schoolers who will leave that day for a week-long Mountain Retreat at Lutheridge in Arden, N.C. Christ Our Shepherd is on the corner of Ga.
