Registration for participants in Peachtree City’s July 4th parade starts Monday at 8 a.m. for city residents, churches, service organizations and businesses. There is no cost to city residents or entities who wish to participate in the city’s signature annual event. The registration form and parade rules can be downloaded from www.ptcrecreation.org. Participants can bring their form by the recreation administration office off McIntosh Trail once they are eligible to register. City residents and entities are getting first crack at parade spots for a week; those living elsewhere in Fayette have to wait until Monday, June 8. The city is charging Fayette residents, churches and service organizations a $25 fee and Fayette businesses will be charged $50. No out of county entries are allowed. This year’s parade will be Saturday, July 4 starting at 9 a.m. The route begins on Peachtree Parkway in front of the Village On the Green subdivision and it will proceed north on the parkway until it turns left onto McIntosh Trail. The parade will disperse as usual at Huddleston Elementary School and the McIntosh Trail recreation complex. The city will also host its annual fireworks display again this year at dusk, and a variety of food vendors will be on hand. login to post comments |
