Kedron Elementary School took first place at the state Science Olympiad held May 16 at Kennesaw State University. Students competed in a variety of activities and received medals for their performance. Students E..J. Haldopoulos and Hannah Wilde took first place in Rock Hounds, Gregor Haas and Christopher Moeller took first in Save Our Earth, Kathryn Flandermeyer and Julie Lim also took first in Wildlife Safari. Second place medals went to Marina Haldopoulos and Lauren Goodall in Egg Drop and Neha Dhani and Jiaxing Liu for Name that Scientist. A third place medal was awarded to Natasha McCluhan and Allison Nye for Categories. Kedron's team was coached by fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Delores Wright and came in first from a field of 63 teams across the state. login to post comments |
