It is expected to be a great show for a great cause. The Building Dreams ’09 Entertainment & Variety Show fund-raiser to benefit the projects of Square Foot Ministry will be held June 6 at Sams Auditorium in Fayetteville.

The venue for the show will feature a wide range of local talent. The feature performer will be Mike Culver as “Chicken Man.” He will be preceded by more than a dozen entertainment and variety acts from Gym South, Drake School of Irish Dance, Twilight Theater, Rachel’s Dance Connection, Carousel of Dance Art, Grace Dance Ministry, a band from Prince of Peace Lutheran and an act from Fayetteville Christian Church, along with solo and group performances from various local high schools.

And not to be left out, event coordinator Faye Livingston confirmed Monday that Elvis will also make an appearance.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for seniors age 55 and up, $8 for youth ages 12-17 and $5 for children ages 11 and under. For group sales contact Faye Livingston at 770-401-9761 or for group tickets by email at ffmtickets@yahoo.com

The show will begin at 7 p.m. on June 6 at Sams Auditorium, located at Lafayette Education Center on Lafayette Avenue in Fayetteville.

One of the ministry’s projects is the upcoming construction of 10 homes in Griffin, planned for the fall. Another project that will benefit from the fund-raiser is the ongoing construction of the new 3,800-square-foot Fayette Counseling Center on Bradley Drive in Fayetteville.

Though much work has been done, there is still a need for additional donations to secure a variety of materials and additional labor on Saturday mornings in May and June. All skill levels are welcome on the following Saturday mornings:
