Christie-Leigh Janette Wood and Michael John Weaver were married at Pilgreens on Lake Dow on May 16, 2009. The Rev. Norman Wood, the bride’s grandfather, of Rockledge, Fla., conducted the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Grant Wood of Humble, Texas and the late Janette Wood, and the step-daughter of Yolanda Wood. She is the granddaughter of Michael and Heather Croudace of New Zealand, and Norman and Maureen Wood of Rockledge, Fla. She is a graduate of Fayette County High School and a recent graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

The groom is the son of Raymond Weaver of Fayetteville and the late Dianne Sitts, and the step-son of Barbara Nelms. He is the grandson of the late Dennis and Idelle Coughlan and the Willie Mae Weaver of Dallas. He is a graduate of Fayette County High School.

The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Samantha Wood. Bridesmaids included, sister of the groom Natalie Bennett, and friends of the bride Catie Board, Kimmie Barney, and Kristin Gaylor. The flower princess was Chasity Bennett, niece of the groom, .

The best man was the groom’s father, Raymond Weaver of Fayetteville. Groomsmen included Bryan Bennett, brother-in-law of the groom, Jim Diamond, brother-in-law of the groom, and friends Brian Cornell and Travis Webb. The ring bearer was Jordan Brooks, the bride’s nephew.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Pilgreens on Lake Dow.

Mr. and Mrs. Weaver will honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
