Robert "Bob" Erickson, 88, Tyrone, formerly of Fayetteville, died May 9, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine Erickson. He was retired from Western Electric in 1975 in Winston-Salem, N.C., and enjoyed retirement in Sun City, Ariz. for 16 years. He then moved to Georgia and opened the Minuteman Press Printing & Copy Center in Fayetteville. Together with co-owner Marlene Bulgarelli, he worked almost daily until they sold the business in 2008. No local services are planned.

Survivors include daughters, Jackie Erickson-Schweitzer, Destrehan, La., Carolyn Bailey, Clemmons, N.C., and Marilyn "Happy" Erickson, Tyrone: a grandson, William 'Bill" Young, Atlanta; and granddaughters, Sarah Peninger, Winterville, N.C., and Laura Bailey, Clemmons, N.C. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
