Gertrude Maness, 89, Birmingham, Ala., formerly of East Point and Peachtree City, died May 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph T. Maness. She was a member of Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Services are at the Carl J. Mowell chapel, Peachtree City, today, May 20, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery, Forest Park. Survivors include a daughter, Carol and Les Bales; a grandson, Mark and Sarah Bales; a granddaughter, Melanie Bales; and a great-grandson, Bradley Mark Bales. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
