Dr. and Mrs. David Aycock of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Joy Aycock, to Ryan James Miller, son of Roderick Miller and Mrs. Gloria Kerlin of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the Rev. and Mrs. James O. Aycock of Lillington, N.C. and Mr. and Mrs. William Talley and the late Mrs. Barbara Talley of Fuquay-Varina, N.C. She is a 2001 graduate of The University of Georgia where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology as well as a graduate of Georgia State University where she received a master’s degree in professional counseling. She currently attends Georgia State University and will graduate with a doctorate in psychology in 2011.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Helen and Jesse Alls of Atlanta and Vicki and Harold Bradford of Fayetteville. A 2001 graduate of Georgia State University, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business and organizational communications. Currently, he works as development manager for an Atlanta-based financial services firm.

The wedding will be Aug. 8, 2009, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. The couple will reside in Atlanta.
