Retired Lt. Col Robert D. (Dan) and Mrs. Betty Frazier of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel K. Frazier, to Alan Jason Holmes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Woods and Gregory Holmes of Vidalia.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie M. Frazier of Sparta, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Emmette Whitaker of Griffin. She is a 2001 graduate of Fayette County High School and 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University where she earned a bachelor of science degree in community health. She will receive a nursing degree from Middle Georgia College later this month.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holmes of Vidalia and Mrs. Betty Bell and the late James Bell, also of Vidalia. He is a 2001 graduate of Vidalia High School and 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He is employed as an electrical project manager by H.A. Sack Inc. in Statesboro.

The couple will be married Sept. 26, 2009 at Glendalough Manor in Tyrone. Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will live in Savannah.
