Peachtree City Recycling Center changes hoursFri, 05/15/2009 - 3:28pm

Effective immediately, the Peachtree City Recycling Center at Highway 74 South and Rockaway Road will be open from 1-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons. The hours on Saturday will remain 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Recycling Center is open only to Peachtree City residents. The Recycling Center accepts aluminum cans ONLY (no steel or tin cans at this time), mixed cardboard, newspapers and magazines, electronic waste, yard trimmings, #1 and #2 plastic containers, and separated clear, brown, and green glass. The recycling station at the Public Works facility on McIntosh Trail, which is open 24 hours per day, accepts #1 and #2 plastics, aluminum cans (no steel or tin), mixed cardboard, newspapers, and magazines.
