UPDATE 3:30 p.m.

All four lanes of Ga. Highway 54 near Ebenezer Road and Brittany Way are open as of 3:30 p.m, officials reported. The road had been closed for over four hours Friday, May 15 while emergency crews worked on repairing a major gas line break in the area.

Fire crews evacuated three residences while the incident was being resolved by workers from Atlanta Gas Light.

The intersection is located about two miles east of the Peachtree City limits.
