Metropolitan Atlanta Youth Wind Ensemble at Carnegie HallThe Metropolitan Atlanta Youth Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Maestro Robert J. Ambrose, will be performing at Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, on May 31, at 8:30 PM. This elite ensemble, as part of DCINY’s “Excellence in Education” Series, will feature works by Bourgeois, Bryant, Colgrass, Gould, Grantham, Newman, and Shostakovich. The Metropolitan Atlanta Youth Wind Ensemble is comprised of 64 of the most outstanding high school wind and percussion players from throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area - under the direction of Dr. Robert J. Ambrose, Director of Wind Studies and Ensembles and Associate Director of the School of Music at Georgia State University.
