The rest of the story

Although I have great respect for the Tyrone Police Department, they did not solve the crime for the car break-ins in the Pendleton Community as is implied in the article you published on the front page of the newspaper.

The parents of the suspects played a huge role and notified the police regarding not only the break-ins in Tyrone but also in Paulding County. In fact, both sets of parents insisted their children cooperate in order to recover any items possible.

I know this was a big deal to the town of Tyrone since there is not that much crime in the town. However, credit should be given to the parents of these young adults who insisted their children do the right thing and face the consequences of their actions. Both young adults are 18 years of age and these charges will impact their lives for years to come.

Had the parents chosen to “cover” for their children, the police would not have solved this crime and these individuals would not have recovered the stolen items.

I know there were not any untruths in your story, but the article did not portray the exact truth. With all due respect to the Tyrone Police, the parents of the suspect that resides in the Pendleton Community solved this crime and wanted to do what was right for their neighbors.
