Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ward of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Hayley Virginia Ward, to Kramer Michael Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johnson of Covington, La.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Hazel Mitchell and the late Ray Mitchell of Fayetteville and the late Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Ward of Griffin. She is a 2004 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business Administration with a degree in marketing. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She is presently employed by Macy’s Corporation as an assistant buyer in the Atlanta corporate office.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Al Kramer of Covington, La. and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson, also of Covington. He is a 2004 graduate of The St. Paul’s School in Covington and a 2008 graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business Administration with a degree in international business and a minor in Spanish. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He is presently employed by Ernst & Young Business Advisory Services as a consultant.

The wedding will be Aug. 29, 2009 at the UGA Chapel on campus. Following a honeymoon to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
