Villages kicks off summer concert series with Marshall Tucker Band

Are they country or rock and roll? The fans of the Marshall Tucker Band don’t care either way. Known for such classic hits as “Desert Skies” and “Can’t You See,” the Marshall Tucker Band has been entertaining audiences around the world for over 30 years. The band, originally from Spartanburg, S.C., earned seven gold and three platinum albums and have found themselves with hits on Billboard’s rock, country and gospel charts at different times during their career.

The Marshall Tucker Band will perform at the Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville on Saturday. The box office opens at 6 p.m., the gates open at 7 p.m., the opening act begins at 8 p.m. and The Marshall Tucker Band will take the stage at 9 p.m. Lawn seats are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, while reserved seats are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. A table for eight is $500. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Historic Train Depot & Welcome Center at 250 Lanier Avenue, 770-719-4173 or through Ticketmaster.
