James "Jimmy" Richard Boykin Sr., 65, Fayetteville, died April 29, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Maggie Boykin, a brother, Robert Boykin, and a sister, Frances Beetham. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Ruth Ellen Boykin, Fayetteville; a son, James Richard Boykin Jr., Fayetteville; daughters, Ann Lydia Boykin and David Tilton, Fayetteville, Donna Lynn and Allen Romero, Gueydan, La., and Susan Elizabeth and Eric Leister-Cero, Cumming; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred and Shirley Boykin, Jasper, Md., Dale Boykin, and Michael Boykin, both of Bradenton, Fla.; and a sister, Patricia Boykin, Bradenton, Fla. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
