Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Michael Carithers of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Andrea Lauren, to Daniel Boone Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garland David Jones of Pike County.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Bill Martin of New Hope, Ala. and the late Ms. Betty Welch of College Park, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Eugene Carithers of Riverdale. She is a 2003 graduate of Fayette County High School and currently attends Mercer University where she is pursuing a degree in elementary education.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald D. Miller of Pike County and the late Mr. and Mrs. Garland James Jones of of Atlanta. He is a 1998 graduate of Pike County High School and currently works for Southern Rivers Energy Company.

The wedding will be June 20, 2009, at White Oak Presbyterian Church in Senoia.
