Christ Our Shepherd to confirm 21 Sunday
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will observe the Rite of Confirmation on May 3 at the 11 a.m. Sanctuary Service. Each of 21 eighth-graders will stand to make public affirmation of their faith after three years’ preparation. They spend one year studying Biblical foundations of their faith; one year focusing on The Apostles’ Creed, the Ten Commandments and The Lord’s Prayer in depth; and one year discussing living out their faith in real life and learning about other religions. Five of the confirmands will provide worship music for the service: Christopher Hagberg, Joseph Lennon, Garrick Larson, Nathan Truex, and Ashley Young.

Flat Creek’s Homecoming is this Sunday
Flat Creek Baptist Church will have its Homecoming activities this Sunday, May 3, with the Rev. Jeff Merritt as guest preacher at the 10:45 a.m. worship service. Dinner on the grounds will follow the service. Members are asked to bring vegetables, salads, beverages and desserts.

FFBC’s GriefShare starts Tuesday
Fayetteville First Baptist Church will begin a new session of GriefShare, a 13-week Bible based program for those who have lost a loved one, on Tuesday, May 5. The class meets each Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m and is open to all ages. Sessions are led by Paul and Mary Ellen Ashworth, Jenny Muller and Gena Turner and meet in Room A-101 in the First Baptist Church Worship Center building at 205 Stonewall Ave. in downtown Fayetteville. White Oak ARP to host Dr. Carter May 3
White Oak Presbyterian Church in Coweta County will host Dr. Robert Carter of Creation Ministries on Sunday, May 3. His topic will be “The Alternative: Creation’s Competitive Edge.” Dinner will be at 6 p.m. and Dr. Carter’s presentation at 7 p.m. White Oak A.R.P.
