The Left vs. Right paradigm and America’s Arrogance

Recently America as a whole has been called arrogant.. To understand the underlying premise of this lets explore the word first..
Arrogance or arrogant may refer to:
• Unwarrantted pride
• Hubris
• Pride is, depending upon context, either a high sense of the worth of one's self and one's own or a pleasure taken in the contemplation of these things.
So by definition America has a unwarranted pride in itself.. Now let’s explore why This administration would say America is basically a bad place and people..
The American left has for years gotten in to bed with Dictators and thugs hoping for change.. Change in their basic personality.. You see they all believe that just by talking to these people that their basic good nature will come out.. Because they believe that surly the Dictators have the best interest of their citizens at heart.. Liberals believe that, fundamentally, brutal dictators are "rational actors." No matter how bloodstained and brutal, liberals believe that dictators can be reasoned with, and are interested in the welfare of their countries. To many liberals and other foreign policy commentators, being a brutal bloodstained thug is not a barrier to being a negotiating partner. Violating the rights of citizens is not a crime: for liberals, it is a sometimes practical policy of government. Liberals believe that governments must violate some rights for the good of the people. To be able to look themselves in the mirror daily.. America has to be as bad as the current Dictator in favor..
So Obama said we are an Arrogant Nation.. Meaning we have UNWARRENTED PRIDE OK let’s explore this:
Food Exports
Although many countries produce corn (maize), two are way ahead of all the others, the USA and China, with the USA producing twice as much as China during 2005/6. But in terms of global exports, the USA is THE leader, being responsible for about two thirds of global corn exports. (source: US Grains Council website.)
So the US helps feed the world.. We produce and export many products that other countries cannot produce in sufficient quantities to feed their own people. So without us many people would starve,,
Disaster Assistance
In FY 2007, OFDA responded to 77 disasters affecting more than 94 million people in 57 countries. Ongoing conflicts, flooding, drought, food insecurity, a cyclone, an Ebola hemorrhagic fever outbreak, and a meningitis outbreak confronted countries throughout Africa. Asia and the Pacific region experienced natural disasters, including typhoons, a cyclone, earthquakes, and flooding, as well as complex emergencies. Nine countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia (EMCA) required assistance to address issues related to flooding, wildfires, a cyclone, and complex political and security challenges. Hurricanes, heavy rainfall, and flooding led to the majority of disaster declarations in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, while wildfires and an earthquake also required OFDA’s assistance. Again we spent Millions and sent aid ALL OVER THE WORLD No other Country does what we do..
The World’s Police
“CDI has documented that, in the five years after Sept. 11, total U.S. arms sales (Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales ) to these 25 countries were worth four times more than those concluded in the five years prior to Sept. 11, and these countries received 18 times more total U.S. military assistance (Foreign Military Financing and International Military Education and Training) after Sept. 11 than before. Furthermore, 72 percent of the countries in this series received more military assistance and 64 percent conducted more arms sales with the United States during the five years after Sept. 11 than during the entire period between the end of the Cold War and Sept. 11” (FY 90-01 Source: Centers for Defense Information)
Again we help keep the PEACE in the world.. Without US assistance many Governments would struggle with anti-democracy radicals in its own Country as well as outside its borders.. The USA is guaranteeing freedom and democracy in the world.
I could go on and on.. but you get the picture.. So does America have an UNWARRENTED PRIDE ? I for one do not think so.. We have been a Country for less than 300 years and yet we give more to the World and do more for its people than any other Country that has been around for hundreds even thousands of years. Obama might need to apologize for something but America is not it..
