Erman Ladell "Tommy" Walden, 61, Fayetteville, died April 12, 2009. He was veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a medic and surgical nurse. Following his military duty he worked as a paramedic for Atlanta South Ambulance Company. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, north campus. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Sheila B. Walden, Fayetteville; a son, Christopher Ladell and Billie Walden, Sharpsburg; a daughter, Jennifer Elaine and Jason Miller, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Shawn Michael Miller, Joshua Jason Miller, and Kaden Alexander Walden; a brother, Joseph Walden, Dallas, Ga.; and sisters, Ann Herring, Maysville, Ga., and Robin Matthews, Stockbridge. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
