Nearly 400 people from Coweta County and surrounding communities made their way to Newnan City Hall April 15 for the area’s first Tea Party to express varying opinions on the need of the federal government to listen to citizens who, across America, believe their voice is no longer heard in Washington. The Tea Party was organized by by local resident Chip Coursey, who said he had never attempted to organize an event. Coursey said he became convinced it was something he should do, not knowing how many people would attend. To see more pictures from this event, check out the photo galleries at www.thecitizen.com.
