Gerald Owen “Jerry” Vaillancourt Sr., 77, Senoia, died Jan. 27. 2006. He was born Nov. 30, 1928 in Fulton County. He was a lover of country and gospel music and enjoyed singing and the love of his guitars. He was member of the American Legion, Post 50, College Park, for 50 years. He served 57 years in the pest control industry. Services were at the East Newnan Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Powers and the Rev. Marshall Ray officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn, College Park. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lois Vaillancourt; sons, Gerald Vaillancourt Jr., and Robert P. “Bobby” Vaillancourt; a daughter, LaVada V. and John McCosh; grandchildren, Timothy Roy Vaillancourt, Hollie LaVada and Stephanie Christina Johnson, and Margaret Ann Works: a great-grandson, Tyler Works; a great-granddaughter, Allie LaVada Brooks; and sisters, Mary Grace Speights, Betty Croley, and Betty McRee and Bob Daniel, Rome. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
