Two north Fayette residents were arrested April 1 for growing marijuana in their home on Whitetail Court, sheriff’s deputies said.

London Travis Richardson, 39, and Rone Yvette Paulding, 40, were charged with cultivation of marijuana and reckless conduct. Richardson was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

The arrests came as the Fayette County Sheriff’s Tactical Narcotic Team executed a search warrant on the home to assist the Drug Enforcement Administration.

A search of the residence yielded about one and a half pounds of marijuana and evidence of a marijuana grow operation, officials said.

Richardson was incarcerated and currently remains in the Fayette County Jail. Paulding was remanded to Federal Custody pending extradition back to Fayette County.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Tactical Narcotics Team is a multi-agency unit under the command of the Sheriff of Fayette County. The unit consists of members of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Tyrone Police Department, Fayetteville Police Department and Peachtree City Police Department.
