Atlanta, GA (March 27, 2009) –  Delta Community Credit Union President & CEO Rick Foley presented Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Executive Terilyn Walton with a check for $214,000 at the credit union’s 2008 Annual Meeting held on March 16, 2009.

Walton thanked Delta Community and said that they had raised the bar to a new level with their contribution of $214,000 in 2008.  “Having Delta Community’s leadership support and the matching funds from the Board of Directors, Delta Community is the paradigm of what a credit union’s commitment to kids should look like,” Walton said.  Throughout the year, Delta Community organizes numerous fundraisers that benefit Children’s Miracle Network. The credit union has raised a total of $526,000 since 1998.

“We have been a proud supporter of CMN for many years, and this year, I’m honored to say that our staff and members have gone above and beyond to show our commitment to this organization.  I have seen first-hand the benefits and special care that CMN children receive, and we will continue to show our support at both the employee and corporate level,” Foley added.

About Delta Community Credit Union
Delta Community Credit Union is one of the largest financial institutions in Georgia. It was founded in 1940 and today serves the entire metro Atlanta area, including residents of the 11 surrounding counties and employees of top businesses, such as Delta Air Lines, Chick-fil-A, Yamaha Motor Manufacturing and Racetrac. Delta Community is a state-chartered credit union organized under the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, and its deposit accounts are federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. It chooses to operate as a not-for profit credit union so it can give back earnings to its customers and their local communities.
