Thomas "Bill" Davis, 92, Fayetteville, died March 26, 2009. He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Davis. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He was the owner and operation of the Trading Post in Fayetteville, since 1950. He was a 50-year member of the Fayetteville Masonic Lodge, #711, F&AM. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Services were at the Overton chapel of Fayetteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret Edmondson Davis; daughters, Cheryl and Terry Maze, Woodland, and Linda Jones, Fayetteville; grandsons, Mark and Natalie Jones, and Brian and Carolyn Jones; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Jacob; and a sister, Thena White, Fayetteville. Memorial donations may be made to the Sibley Heart Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, in honor of Ryan Lewis, or the Fayetteville First Baptist Church Building Fund. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
