Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Williams of Crawfordville announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Lea Hudson, to Matthew Scott Power, son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Power of Fayetteville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gilly Adams of Greensboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Horace Williams of Crawfordville. She is a 2002 graduate of Nathaniel Greene Academy in Siloam and a 2007 graduate of Piedmont College where she received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She currently is employed as a graduation coach at Taliaferro County School.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Candler Jarrell Power and Mrs. Floy Power of Fayetteville, Mr. and Mrs. John Peacock of East Point, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Wakeman of Fayetteville, and the late Stephen Patrick of Fayetteville. He is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School in Fayetteville and a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia where he received a bachelor of science degree in forest resources. He currently is employed as a supervisor with Osmose Utility Services.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, May 30, 2009.
