Margie Lee McKnight Leatherwood, Newnan, formerly of East Point, died March 17, 2009. She was born April 7, 1921 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tenn. Graveside services were at Sharon Memorial Gardens, Tyrone, with the Rev. Dr. William O. 'Bill" Priester officiating.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis Newton Leatherwood, Newnan; children, Curtis and JoAnn Leatherwood, Moultrie, Kay and Tommye Williams, Tyrone; a daughter-in-law, Dianne Leatherwood, Charlotte; a sister-in-law, Tommie McKnight, Memphis; grandchildren, Susan and Sammy Ellison, Patrick and Dottie Leatherwood, Jennifer Leatherwood, Allison Leatherwood, and Wendy and Keith Taylor; and 10 great-grandchildren. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
