Dr. and Mrs. Peter K. Meyers of Tyler, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Ann Meyers, to William Jacob Tomlin, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Tomlin of Peachtree City.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Miles Hoye of Whiting, N.J., and the late Mrs. Betty Hoye, and Howard Meyers of Shelter Island, N.Y., and the late Mrs. Geraldine Meyers. She is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas, Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Va., and Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, Texas. She will complete a degree in advanced specialty training in peridontics, oral medicine, and dental implantology from Caylor College of Dentistry in May, 2010.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Smith Jr. of Douglas and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Clarence Tomlin of Fitzgerald. He is a graduate of Woodward Academy in College Park, and The Georgia Institute of Technology. He received a master of business administration degree in 2006 from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is employed as a portfolio manager with Highland Capital Management in Dallas, Texas.

A July wedding is planned on Kiawah Island, S.C.
