Frankie Lee Goodroe, Newnan, died March 7, 2009. He was born Jan. 2, 1941 in Newnan, son of he late Joseph Elton and Ruby Lassetter Goodroe. Prior to his disability, he had been a machinery mechanic at the Newnan Playtex plant. He was a member of Welcome Road Baptist Church. Through his affiliation with the Bigham Masonic Lodge #53 F&AM in Moreland, he attained the 32nd degree Scottish Rite. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, LaRue Watts Goodroe; and a brother, Ken and Elaine Goodroe. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
