William C. "Bill" Spradlin, 84, Turin, died March 13, 2009. He was born Feb. 27, 1925 in Senoia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl A. and Dallie McLean Spradlin, and sisters, Dorothy Huckaby, Brooks, and Barbara Morris, Hampton. He was a veteran of the United States Navy in World War II, a graduate of the University of Georgia, a retired poultry hatchery manager with Hubbard Farms, Inc, a Master Gardner, and a deacon of Turin Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a loving and considerate person who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Services were at the Turin Baptist Church with the Rev. John McDuffie and the Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Interment was at Brooks Memorial Gardens, Brooks, Fayette County. Survivors include his wife, Helen Huckaby Spradlin, Turin; a brother, Herman and Joanne Spradlin; sons, Wade and Karen Spradlin, Ray and Judy Spradlin, and Rick and Karen Spradlin; a daughter, Joyce Adamson; grandchildren, Dixie Adamson, Johnson, Rebecca Adamson Johnston, Kerri Spradlin, Alia Spradlin, Kayla Spradlin, and Josh Parker; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three nieces; and one nephew. Memorial donations may e made to the Turin Baptist Church, 29 Church St., Turin, GA 30289. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
