William O. “Bill” James, 78, Fayetteville, died Feb. 1, 2006. He was born Jan. 3, 1928 in Ware County. He served in the United States Navy. He was a pilot at Delta Air Lines, retiring with 38 years of service. Memorial services were at Southwest Christian Church. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Julie James, Fayetteville; children, Dave James, California, Vickie James, Lawrenceville, Wes James, Fayetteville, and Jeff James, Smyrna. Memorial donations may be made to Southwest Christian Building Fund, 4330 Washington Road, East Point, GA 30344. Metro Crematory, Peachtree City, was in charge.
