“Tiny Thumbelina” takes stage this weekend and nextThu, 03/12/2009 - 3:18pm

Fayette Coweta Family Theatre, Inc. is set to take audiences on a musical adventure with a girl no bigger than your thumb, in the Family Fantasy Series Musical "Tiny Thumbelina." Journey with Thumbelina (Micaela Tardie) as she is captured by a family of country toads, sold to a no-good water rat, meets a family of not-so- polite beetles and becomes engaged to an old mole who lives in a dark mansion underground. Watch as she is rescued by the tiny princesses and zany sparrow and is finally brought to the Land of the Little People in this bright and colorful family musical that will be enjoyed by all ages. “Tiny Thumbelina” will capitvate audiences beginning March 13 at 7 p.m. with additional performances on March 14 and 15 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and continuing the following weekend on March 20 at 7 p.m. and March 21 and 22 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Performances will be held at the intimate Fayette YMCA Lodge House Blackbox Theatre at 215 Huiet Drive in Fayetteville. Seating is very limited, so making reservations is highly encouraged. Admission at the door is $8 and pre-reservation prices are $7.
