Meet ‘The Bear’ and learn to SCUBAThu, 03/12/2009 - 3:14pm

The public is invited this Saturday to the Peachtree Dive Center on hwy 54 for the HUGE annual tent sale and cook out. Radio station 92.5 fm will have Bubba The Bear on site modeling apparel and snorkeling gear from 12-2pm during a live radio broadcast. You can sign up for swimming lessons, or just watch live demonstrations being preformed in the indoor pool. Owners Robert and Kim Carawan along with the dive centers mascot Dixie the Dive Dog, will play host this weekend under the big tent outside. People can stop by for sale items, complimentary prizes and free food, including grilled hotdogs by the Peachtree Dive Center staff. “Many people are unaware that there is a heated indoor pool here” said owner and Instructor Kim Carawan. “We teach folks from the age of 5 years old and up how to snorkel, from infant to adult how to swim and we have lots of families from 10 years old and up try our complimentary “Discover Scuba” lessons to see if scuba is right for them! The Peachtree Dive Center is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center and has been serving the area since 1991. login to post comments |
