Beginning with a two-day revival on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 15 and 16, and concluding with two special services and a free church dinner on Sunday, Feb. 19, historic Flat Rock A.M.E. Church will host its annual “Men’s Day” celebration. The entire community is invited to attend.

The Rev. John Hatcher, pastor of Outreach International Center in Fayetteville and long-time columnist for The Citizen, will be the guest revivalist for Wednesday and Thursday’s services.

Sunday’s events will include an 11 a.m. service and a special 3 p.m. service, with dinner served between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. The Rev. H.E. Terrell, former presiding elder of the A.M.E. Church South Georgia district, will preach the 11 a.m. sermon, and the Rev. Melvin Ware, pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Fayetteville, will preach the 3 p.m. sermon.

“The men of Flat Rock A.M.E.Church would greatly appreciate the attendance and support from members of the community in making this annual event a success,” said the Rev. Edward J. Johnson Jr., current pastor.
