Jimmie Ruth Watkins, Newnan, died Feb. 19, 2009. She was born July 12, 1943 in Newnan. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Richard Hall. She had joined The Burns United Methodist Church at an early age, and was graduated from Central High School in1961. She was employed at Playtex, Inc. for a number of years, and then worked for 32 years at the Coweta County School system. Services were at the Burns Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Crawford Paggett officiating. Interment was at Eastview Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters, Montina Watkins, Newnan, Synethia and Anthony Hill, Senoia, Georgia and Cassandra D. Neely, Jonesboro, mother, Arlevia Hall, Newnan; sisters, Gloria Hall Benford, and Betty Ware, both of Newnan; grandchildren, Emanuel M. Anderson, Sherman C. Anderson, Michael D. McRae, Anthony C. Hill, Jasmine R. Strozier, and Desiree Sterling; one nephew; two nieces; two great-nieces; and four great-nephews. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
