Robert "Terry" Raines, 60, Newnan, died Feb. 25, 2009. He was born May 3, 1948 in Coweta County. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Raines. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He attended Oak Lawn Baptist Church and had worked at the Coweta County Water Department.

Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. David Arlington, Pastor Hal Taylor, and the Rev. Ray Putnam officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Survivors include his wife, Gwen Manning Raines, Newnan; mother, Mary Smith Raines; children, Wayne and Nicole Raines, Chris and Rhonda Raines, and Michelle Hayes; and grandchildren, Alexis, Davey, Caden, Abbi, and Matthew. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
