Now in their 33rd season, the Atlanta Chamber Players (ACP) return to Spivey Hall on Sunday, March 1 at 3 p.m. The program entitled "Tour de Force" brings together some of Atlanta's finest classical musicians in a performance of works by Beethoven, Poulenc and Korngold.

The concert opens with Beethoven's graceful Serenade in D Major, Opus 25, for flute, violin and viola followed by Poulenc's popular Trio for oboe, bassoon, and piano, concluding with Korngold's Piano Quintet, a virtuosic "tour de force" for all five performers.

"The program promises to live up to its name," says founder, artistic director and pianist, Paula Peace. "The performers, composers and renowned concert venue all combine to present the highest level of musical  expression to our audience."

Joining Peace are the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Justin Bruns, violin; Elizabeth Koch, oboe; John Meisner, violin; Catherine Lynn, viola; Christina Smith, flute; Carl Nitchie, bassoon; and Brad Ritchie, cello.

In tribute to the their 30th Anniversary, ACP was named by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as "Best of 2005 in Classical Music" and  presented with the city's coveted Phoenix Award by Mayor Shirley Franklin.  Considered a pioneer among chamber group ensembles, ACP has performed critically-acclaimed concerts throughout the U.S. and abroad, and to millions worldwide through their live international radio broadcasts.
