Human Services Council Elects Officers

Sharon Herbert is the new president for Fayette County’s Human Services Council and Elizabeth Hiatt is the vice president. Herbert is the Community Relations Specialist for Fayette County’s DFCS and Hiatt represents Advo-Kids CASA, Fayette division. The remaining officers are Janet Granski, representing Fayette Youth Protection Homes and Teri Demarco of Rest Easy Home Health Services.

Fayette’s Human Services Council is the only round table discussion group within the county focusing on the dissemination of information about the physical and mental health and spiritual needs of Fayette County residents and about resources for meeting those needs. The council at times may promote legislation at the local, state and national levels which enhance the well-being of citizens of Fayette County.

The council meets the second Monday of the month at noon at the 1279 Building of the Piedmont-Fayette Hospital campus, third floor. Council members include non-profit, civic organizations, and faith based institutions. Meetings are open to any organization striving to improve the well-being of Fayette’s citizens.
