Kattness updateWed, 02/18/2009 - 9:37am
By: The Citizen
Michael Kattness, formerly from Peachtree City, Georgia, has been in Seattle at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center since October having treatment for his cancer. Michael has multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow). His family wanted to give a status for all of the people in Fayette County who have reached out in gifts of donations, both in money and time served for the family. The treatment is to have two transplants, one using Michael’s own stem cells, and the other using donor stem cells. Michael has come through the first transplant very well and is scheduled for the donor transplant on March 4, 2009. He and his parents are expected to be in Seattle until mid June. The family asks for continued help through prayer for Michael’s recovery. The rest of the family are members of the Peachtree City United Methodist Church. Anyone wanting to help in expenses incurred while in Seattle may donate to the Kattness Cancer Fund at the Bank of North Georgia in Fayetteville or Peachtree City. login to post comments |
