To members of the church community in the Fayette, Coweta and South Fulton areas:
The Citizen Newspapers is providing an information clearing house for hurricane relief efforts in this geographic area.
If your church is involved in relief efforts of any kind, or has people willing to donate needed items, including cash, host families, etc., please let us know.
We will be updating our Web site as much as possible with the most current information as well as summarizing it for our publications.
We are willing to do just about anything, including running free advertisements for evacuees here who are looking for work.
I am Joyce Beverly, sales director of the papers and publisher of Fayette Woman magazine. My husband, Cal, is the publisher of The Citizen. He has asked me to help coordinate the flow of information. Please reply to this posting, or e-mail us at work. We are working on this today [Sunday] and will be working Labor Day.
We are going to coordinate our efforts closely with and through the Georgia Department of Family and Children's Services (DFACS) locally to help connect the community to those in need here and with any organization attempting to help those in Gulf Coast area.
No need is too big or too small. Please let us know how our readers can help.
