Kathleen Hayes Cureton, 95, Newnan, died Feb. 6, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Judson and L'angel David Hayes, and her husband, Fred Cureton. She was born June 30, 1913 in Mansfield, Ga. She was a member of Newnan First United Methodist Church and was retired with more than 30 years of teaching in Coweta County.

Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel; with Frank Eldridge officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include her children, Glad and Frank Eldridge, Atlanta, John and Brenda Cureton, Moreland; siblings, Virginia Lee and Judson Hollis Hayes, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
