Yes, Please Stand Up!

It is very good to see all of the comments. Now what are you going to do about it? I hope to see all of you at the next board meeting to support the STUDENTS and TEACHERS of FAYETTE County.
PLEASE, PLEASE demand that our elected officials be held accountable for the decisions they are making. Make them justify the cuts they are proposing.
PLEASE, PLEASE have them explain to our faces how they can justify why a county of our size needs 1 superintendent, 1 deputy superintendent, 2 or 3 assistant superintendents, 8-11 (each)directors and coordinators, and 1 PR person who has her own secretary - I am sure that they can explain the importance of the PR staff has to student achievement, so they need to do that. I am SURE they have logic for choosing to cut teachers and support staff that take care of our children on a daily basis instead of cutting excessive, high paying administrative position. I am sure they can explain to us why one assistant superintendent says that cutting central office staff is not an option.

So PLEASE, PLEASE attend the next board meeting to show your support. Our children are the sacrifice at hand.
