Less than a year after the grand opening for the neighborhood, Brayson Homes is nearing the closeout of sales in The Gables, a 92-home neighborhood in Minerva Properties’ resort-styled master-planned community which spans the Henry and Spalding County line. At this point, there are only six ranch-styled homes still available for purchase with prices from the $190,000s to the high $200,000s. The Gables is in the Spalding County portion of the Heron Bay development. Residents of The Gables neighborhood in Heron Bay live in a country club community at an affordable price. It is one of two Brayson Homes neighborhoods in the development, the other being Pinehurst in the Henry County portion of the community. Heron Bay contains a 5,000 sq. ft. lodge which is also serving as the development’s information center. A verandah and arbor with an outdoor fireplace overlook the community’s aquatic center plus there is an 18-hole championship golf course, which was designed, developed and managed by Canongate Golf Clubs. Heron Bay is on Ga. Highway 155 approximately five miles from Exit 216 off I-75 and just 30 minutes southeast of downtown Atlanta. A 1,150-acre development, the community lies along the eastern shoreline of the 1,100-acre Cole Reservoir, which offers opportunities for fishing, boating and other outdoor activities. Gwinnett County-based Brayson Homes, which was founded in 1977, has sold over 8,000 new homes throughout the Metro Atlanta area during its 29-year history.
