Leigh Ann Eadie and John Derek DeGroot were married in a lakeside ceremony at the Arrowhead Yacht Club,Kansas City, Mo. on July 5, 2008. The Rev. Sam Silverman officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Cindy Eadie of Wilmington, Ohio. She attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington and is employed at TLC in Kansas City.

The groom is the son of Randy and Karin DeGroot of Peachtree City and the grandson of John and Clarissa DeGroot, also of Peachtree City. He is a graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and attended Auburn University and Georgia State University. He is employed as an air traffic controller in Kansas City.

Sonya Eadie of Cincinnati, Ohio, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Andrew DeGroot of Peachtree City, brother of the groom, served as best man. A dinner and dance reception was held at the yacht club after the ceremony.

Following a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. DeGroot now reside in Kansas City.
