Mary Gladys Wingo Cook, 81, Braselton, formerly of Franklin, died Jan. 18, 2009. She was born May 20, 1927 in Hogansville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Wingo and Mary Edna Wingo Wilson, her husband, Demas Cook, a brother, Carl Wingo Jr., and a grandson, Jimbo Sewell. Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan.

Survivors include her children, Carlene White, Cantonement, Fla., Brenda Williams, Newnan, Andrew Ben Cook, Franklin, and Patricia Junko, Braselton; sisters, Peggy Gilpin, Brunswick, Sherby Jean Woodall, Kannapolis, N. C., and Dorothy Davis, Warm Springs; grandchildren, Brandi Henson, Ashley White, Allen Todd Smith; seven great-grandchildren; an uncle, Tom Wingo, Newnan; and an aunt, Edith Nelms, Franklin. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
