Vertis Arnold Little, 65, Newnan, died Jan. 29, 2009. She was born Nov. 11, 1943, daughter of Virgus Arnold and Emma Hendricks. She was raised by her mother and loving stepfather, Roosevelt Hendricks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Charlie Little, in 1992. They had married on Oct. 19, 1983, and her son, Gregory Robert Arnold. He was born in 1965 and was killed in an automobile accident in 2003. She was graduate of Central High School in 1961. She was a member of Newnan Chapel United Methodist Church, a member of the Interdenominational Minister's Wives and Minister's Widows and a member of Just Between Girlfriends Social Club. She was retired from Newnan Hospital after 19 years of service. She loved to shop and travel. Services were at the Newnan Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Moses Woodruff officiating. The Rev. Dr. Carol Helton is the pastor. Survivors include a granddaughter, Shanteria Appollonia Arnold, Newnan; Angelia Fuller and children, Huntsville, Ala.; mother-in-law, Fannie Cameron; sisters-in-law, Mary Cameron, and Janice Cameron, both of Georgia, Maxine Jackson, and Linda Bryant, both of Maryland; brothers-in-law, Ronnie and Gary Cameron, Sanford and Gloria Cameron, and Jimmie Cameron, all of Georgia; a goddaughter, Kay Green, Georgia; an aunt, Katie Thompson, Newnan; uncles, James Freeman and Seabond Freeman, Atlanta; and special friend, Beulah Jean Reese. Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. login to post comments |
